The 4th Guangdong Dance Summer Camp Announcement

This is to announce that the Guangdong Modern Dance Company will not be able to present the 4^th Guangdong Dance Summer Camp in July, 2011. Up until now, we have not been able to find a suitable venue to hold the workshops. The Organizing Committee has to suspend the Camp this year. I wish to apologize to those who have already devoted a lot to the planning, liaisons, publicity and fund-raising. The Camp will resume in 2012, and we will announce the details very soon.

Nevertheless, the 8^th Guangdong Modern Dance Festival will be held from July 24 to 29, 2011. The Festival program will still consist of four major parts, namely, the Masterclass Sweatshop, Youth Dance Marathon (YDM), Springboard, and the Mainstage Performances. I hope you will continue to support the Festival and join us in this biggest dance event in China, to attend professional performances by top Chinese and international companies and showcases of original works by emerging artists from all over China, and/or to take master classes/workshops, and/or to showcase your own works to an international audience in the open platform YDM. Detailed and updated information of the 8^th Guangdong Modern Dance Festival will very soon be available at www.gdfestival.cn or www.gdmdc.com.
