When first came to China, the Chinese would marvel at how well I used chopsticks. They still do, but I keep wondering whether I'm using them correctly.
Yea, but like I said it is more the Western bastards that like to make fun of it (usually those Japan fanboys). Anyway I have horrible table manners, be it chopsticks or knife and fork, I make a mess of things. Oh and the chicken, I’m guessing we’re talking about白切鸡here? The secret is to not force it between your chopsticks, but gently embrace it like a lover.
Most Chinese people that i observe do not hold there chopsticks correctly.
So don't worry about it.
ahaha, i've actually never learned how to hold them properly, so sometimes people make fun of that (though mostly western ppl, the Chinese don't seem to care at all).
