The bruises are worse than it looks in this photo. Locals give me the strangest looks as soon as they have a glance at my arm. Can't blame them, no foreigner in the right mind would move to this god forsaken, creepy town (Don't get too excited I'm not anywhere near GZ). Heroin addiction would make perfect sense at this point.
The nurse who drew blood from my arm, didn't make the slightest attempt to hit the frikking vein, What she did was well.. she just stuck the needle randomly, and gave me a cotton swab instead of a plaster afterwards. Not surprisingly I got blood all over my clothes in seconds since my blood never clots fast enough. Had there been a long line of restless patients I would have understood, wouldn't have got all whiny like this but I was the only one. It all happened in 10 seconds, she must have though that she really took her time. It's been five days now. Long sleeves, in this weather? Maybe I should just start telling people that it's a poorly placed hickey or something. How do you say that in Chinese?

How about telling them that I have a closeted gay vampire boy friend that sparkles in the daylight?

Comment by huajuan, 哆哒, e... paca!! on May 4, 2012 at 5:46pm never mind people. they always make a fuss on nothing. i got a slight tan from my trip and back to guangzhou everybody in the neighourhood stares at me like i'm a monster. and those bruises look like they'll be gone in just a few days...
Comment by Ivy on May 4, 2012 at 8:28am that happened to me twice...the bruises lasted for more than a week.
maybe put a nice handkerchief around it? i did so to cover it so i didnt have to wear long sleeves
