Dear gzstuff members,
I would like to request your help and I am willing to give you my help in return.
My name is Gerry Thorogood and I live in Waterfoot, near Glasgow in Scotland. I have published an ebook entitled Guangzhou High Notes and I also plan to make a short film of the story.
I am hoping that you can help me build my network in Guangzhou and other parts of China. In return, I will be happy to give free advice to any musicians or travellers from China who plan on visiting Scotland in the future and I hope that in return some people will help me make some new contacts in China.
I am particularly interested in radio stations or local newspapers or magazines that would like to speak to me about the story.
So what Guangzhou High Notes all about?
Guangzhou High Notes is a true story of friendship, music and cultural exchange between China and Scotland based on my experiences.

One Glasgow boy, four female Chinese Musicians,a government official, a student doctor interpreting, a handful of cash, a minibus and six summer days in Scotland to fill. This is the tale of an incident-packed, hastily arranged visit to Scotland by classical musicians, agreed by two senior aerospace executives during a celebration dinner in China. Castles, cruises, horses, a ceilidh and a classical performance at one of Glasgow's finest visitor attractions. In 1994 Gerry Thorogood was a young marketing manager in the Aero Maintenance industry. He works today in the IT sector and plays guitar in a charity covers band.
A Mandarin version is available from www.handheldculture.com who are based in Hong Kong. It is also available in English on iTunes, lulu.com and barnesandnoble.com.
I will let you know where this journey takes me.
