take you time. in the west.business is ruled by deadlines. chinese business people seem to act slowly by western standards. so be prepared to wait for decisions.
buld relationship .in china .you need to build a relationship before you can do business . this leads to the idea of ''guaxi'' that means using personal contacts and relationship to do business.....

you must remember to respect 'face'.face can be lost.given or earned.never criticize or insult someone in front of the others.as losing face will make it imporsssible to make a deal.on the other hand. if you praise someone by say ing good things about him or her. then he or she will gain face . but be careful not ot do it too much.
accept the packing order.hierarchy is very important in china. and the group is moreimportant than the individual . in business .chinese people often dont like take responsibility individually and many also dont lke give opinion in front of peers .in case they lose face.

wow, 60? is that a typo and you meant 6? I count 3, i think, in the pics on your page, is that right? How many of those 60 lived indoors all the time? You were running some sort of shelter for cats, is that how you had so many? I really want to know the story on that one! :) I'm trying to think, I dont know how many would be too many for me to live with, i guess it would depend on their attitude :) why not here is complicated - partly because i've been traveling in and out of the country, so i wanted to wait until i could be more dependable. And, i'm not too sure that where i live now is a good place for a cat to be happy.
ha! the cats in the picture are not mine, i just thought it was a funny picture :) I've had a cat most of my life, but I havent had one since i moved to china. Your question makes me wonder how many you have!
