Yeah I did notice.. what seems a bit strange for me is that (most) Chinese don't really same to be able to distinguish music genres. My girlfriend has no problem listening to symphonic metal because she doesn't have any prejudice about it, I believe, even though she usually listens to really laid-back pop music (uck, by the way :p).

Personally I've never enjoyed going to live gigs, as it's about the music for me, not the entire social scene or the atmosphere at a concert. 

What else do you like in life?

I never gave in to family requests to cut my hair or change clothing style... but it's rather important to earn money :P

Is there any good Chinese metal? I've listened to a couple of bands a few years back but there are probably new ones...

I wouldn't dare say I'm a metalhead anymore, but I listen to metal whenever I can, keeps me awake, I think you know what I mean :) Enjoy your freedom to wear whatever you want while you can... I cut my (long) hair when I went for my first job interview about three years ago. Take care!
