S.D. Livehouse (Star Department Livehouse), located in Guangzhou’s thriving cultural and creative park Fang Cun 1850 Art Space, is widely recognised as one of the most promising livehouses in the country.

Established in 2011 by a group of local musicians, S.D. Livehouse made a splash with with the highly-acclaimed 430 Music Gig, the only independent music festival in south China.

S.D. Livehouse has been working with a number of different live show organizers from Guangzhou and nationwide, and after only a year of operation, countless well-known artists have already graced its stage.

With a focusing on developing the city’s independent music scene and providing a platform for a wide variety of artists, S.D. Livehouse is an antidote to the monotony of the mainstream club circuit.

With a world-class soundsystem, S.D. Livehouse is now open to Guangzhou's electronic music promoters. With cheap drinks, no noise restrictions, and an enormous dancefloor, the city’s newest is a much-needed injection of life into the city’s cultural scene.
