BIO

Derald Reynolds aka DJ GRUV moved to Hong Kong in 1997. He started on the scene by playing at underground venues such as ‘Medium Rare’ which helped in making a name for himself in Hong Kong. It was then that he was offered a Thursday and Friday residency with DJ Joel Lai at drop which lasted for 8 years. During this time Volar offered him a Saturday Residency which he still rocks to this day. More over Volar recently open and he hovers between the two venues. He also throws down a hot set of bangers at Club 97's Ladies night every Thursday where you can hear a proper mix of Hip Hop and RnB. Whilst ascending in his career, Red (www.pure-fit.com), offered him the chance to become their Music Director. So you can find him playing the Friday mashup set at Red IFC from 9 to late. Then you can catch him, playing the Friday late set at Play Club. He’s played along with international Artists and DJs: De La Soul, Biz Markie, Smokin’ Joe, James Fierce, and Sandy Riviera. His signature sound ranges from Hip-Hop to House.
