Comment by Jon Hammond on March 25, 2012 at 6:45pm Hi everyone,
I'm here for the next week from Australia on holiday - left the 5DMKII at home and am travelling light with my Leica M2. Looking forward to checking out Dashatou camera area and shooting!
Comment by Javier Miqueleiz on January 12, 2012 at 11:04pm I sent you a private George, let me know if you've seen it.
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a place in Guangzhou to rent a 35 mm camera and get black and white film developed. Any suggestions?
Kale,
Thanks for your 'welcome' message.
Xiamen's a nice city, but like others it's getting crowded with more traffic,
pollution, etc. It's a popular tourist destination. I'm sorry I didn't see your message earlier; we've been out straight with customers for the past few days.
This is not a good weekend to visit; there's an annual investment trade fair going on and hotel rooms are double normal price. October/November are a little cooler and less crowded (except the Oct 1 holiday).
I have two Hasselblads: 503cx and 503cxi with good assortment of lenses and film backs which has been assembled over the past year. Yes, I would appreciate name, address and phone of the Fuji shop you mentioned. Do any shops offer scanning along with developing?

Comment by Kale Taylor on September 7, 2011 at 8:22pm Hi David,
Welcome to the group! Xiamen eh? I was thinking of heading there this long weekend, I hear its lovely.
You cannot go wrong with a Hasselblad. What model did you get? I currently shoot with a 500 C and love it. I process my own black and white but use a lab in GZ for all colour.
Many shops in GZ can process 120 negatives and/or slide but many are lousy at it. I use a Fuji shop on Jie Fang Lu. I can get you exact address and number if you wish. They also make very good prints.
Kale
Hi,
Although I live in Xiamen, it's delightful to find this group. I do considerable digital photography for our business, but film is more enjoyable. I recently bought a Hasselblad and looking forward to using it. It seems there's no place to process 120 film in Xiamen. Perhaps another group member can suggest a good place in Guangzhou.
Looking forward to sharing photographs with other members.
David
