I see you checking out my lute...

I'm looking for a way to host a sufficiently excellent central listing for all performances and events, but until I can do that, feel free to list any new events in the discussions.

Just so it stays visible FOREVER, I'll link the XingHai Concert Hall and XingHai Conservatory listing here:
http://www.gzstuff.com/group/classicalkrackdown/forum/topics/calendars-for-xinghai-concert

Otherwise, enjoy yourselves and remember to breathe.

i see that the latest and greatest here was posted more than a year ago-- not a good sign for someone needing her fix... i need to find some fellow musicians to play and goof around with!!!

In terms of architecture, the new opera house IS an interesting performance. More details at http://www.gzdjy.org/ , though when I click the "English" button, nothing happens.

Seems the Dresden State Orchestra is coming on th 24th of this month. I'm not too excited about the first half of the program, but I'm ALWAYS ready to hear Brahms' fourth.

There's a Taiwanese dance troupe coming on April 8th, and that looks fantastically interesting. One night only, though, so if we want decent ticket prices, we should probably play way ahead.

Anybody interested in going to either of those?

To tell you the truth, I'm here more for the class than the classical.

I just realized I can't actually go to the concert I was previously advertising. Schedule fail.

So, instead, check out the Romero family Guitar Quartet on Oct. 29 at 8:00.

If you want more information, updates, or to go as a group, then RSVP to the event.

That is all- go on about your lives.

What kind of classical folk do we have in GZ? I, for one, specialize in two of the most obscure instruments of the western tradition, euphonium and carillon.

Anybody wanna make a chamber group out of that?
