I have studied the Tao for over twenty years and am moving to GZ in August.  I want to meet as many local Taoists as possible and travel to some of the famous Taoist shrines.  Any suggestions or potential travel buddies?

I am also up for good discussions about philosophy, especially but not limited to Taoism and mysticism.  I have some interesting perspectives I've come to from a comparative study of Eastern and Western philosophies.

I also practice several martial arts with roots in Taoism (karatedo, aikido, tai chi chuan) if anyone is interested in learning or practicing with me.

积土成山,风雨兴焉;积水成渊,蛟龙生焉;积善成德,而神明自得,圣心备焉。
If you accumulate enough earth to build up a high mountain, rain and wind will follow. If you accumulate enough water to fill a chasm, scaly dragons will come into being. If you accumulate enough benevolent actions to develop your moral character, a divine clarity of intelligence will be naturally realized and a sagelike mind will come to you

劝学篇Of learning

木受绳则直,金就砺则利,君子博学而日参省乎己,则知明而行无过矣。
The wood that has been marked with the plumbline will be straight and metal that has been put to the whetstone will be sharp. A gentleman should broaden his knowledge and examine himself to make himself wise and free from mistakes.

不等高山,不知天之高也;不林深渊,不知地之厚也;不闻先王之遗言,不知学问之大也。
If you do not climb up a high mountain, you will not be aware of the height of the sky. If you do not overlook a deep gorge, you will not be aware of the depth of the earth. If you have not heard the words passed down from the ancient Kings, you will not be aware of the greatness of the learning.

吾尝终日而思矣,不如须臾之所学也;吾尝跻而望矣,不如登高之博见也。
I once spent a whole day deep in thought, but it was not so valuable as one moment in studying. Once I stood on my tiptoes to look out into the distance, but I could not see as far as when I climb to a high place

The term "Jūnzǐ" (Chinese: 君子; literally "nobleman") is crucial to classical Confucianism. and in English the "gentleman" or "perfect man". and what's the meaning of GENGLEMAN?

1. The Master said, 'Is it not pleasant to learn
with a constant perseverance and application?

2. 'Is it not delightful to have friends coming from distant
quarters?'

3. 'Is he not a man of complete virtue, who feels no
discomposure though men may take no note of him?'
