Well if you really want to be on facebook you can. Look at the advertisement done by Ctrip, it's a chinese company with mainly business in China but to expand they use facebook.

I use a remote VPN connection, it's 70 rmb a month, secure, reliable but you're right my company server is pretty open ah ah.
