Being unaware of anything beyond a handful of songs sung by Jackson 5 And Michael Jackson as a solo artist does not disqualify my observations and opinion on recent events.
Man in the mirror, billie jean, bad, abc, thriller. heal the world.
I have grown up in an age in which media coverage and exposure of celebrity has exploded in sonic proportion and transcended into the hyper reality of 200 foot high metal Michael Jackson statues welcoming an album release in major cities across the world.
Yet, however -
I am simply bewildered and unable to comprehend why Jackson's supporters continue (until his death and beyond) to disregard and blanket cover any suggestion that he committed very serious crimes against children to the point of buying tickets to forthcoming shows where again he was to be heralded as some kind of species saving messiah, prophet and bastion of humanitarian good.
Having a tattoo or a piercing is still frowned upon by some so I want to make clear the fact that bleaching skin, remodelling body parts and although being a 50 year old male of African descent from Detriot yet greeting people in the voice of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse holds no siginificance in my assessment - thats fine.
But does the fact he invented the Moonwalk dance, an astonishing feat - as he would shimmer, shine and glide across a stage through a supernova of adoration compensate for abusing children?
What would it take for a 40 year old man sitting next to you on a plane to convince you that a circle of hand picked 12 year old boys were his social peers?
Photographs perhaps?
Or maybe a short film on a digital camera play wrestling amongst soft toys...
As long as he can moonwalk to the toilet and back?
The blind faith and stonewall denial - Its a consipiracy, everybody is out to condemn him... Is beyond my power of understanding.
These are strange time we live in.
I am relieved Michael Jackson is dead.

The fact is - Michael Jackson was convicted by you and (some) public opinion not by a jury of law. (Even those who were convicted by law, later we found out that some were innocent) Not saying that Michael Jackson is not a pedophile (he could have been one), but we simply do not know. It is possible that he was not a sex offender, therefore you could be falsely accusing him.

I agree. I heard its actually his sister that spread the gossip of him being a pedophile. No one really knows the truth (well except for himself), its possible that he's not guilty.

It wasnt his sister, it was the child he abused who said "michael jackson abused me".

How can you be so certain that the child wasn't told what to say by the money thirst parents?
I am not certain and I simply do not know what happened, so I don't think it is so insane to give him the benefit of doubt.
Just because the mother reacted so abnormally weird unusually crazy, it doesn't mean she killed the baby. Maybe the dingo did eat the baby. We do not know.

I'll say the same thing here:
You really need to watch the movie ''Doubt''. You sound just like the nun (Meryl Streep's character). It is a very well done movie (Oscar nominated) with great acting... And I think it will teach you a very important lesson in life. Michael Jackson is obviously crazy. But we don't know if he just sees himself like a Peter Pan or something and he doesn't see there is problem sleeping on the same bed with a child (it doesn't mean he molested the kids). He never lived in a real world (a performer since 5) and his father (obviously an asshole, recently he's using MJ's death to promote his product) never let him be a normal kid. He could just have had an insane vision of a perfect world for kids and he was trying to create it... We don't know the truth. I was never a fan of him (not even close), but I prefer to give him the benefit of doubt. It must feel good to have such certainty... I envy you.
Again, I didn't say I think he is innocent. All I am saying is I do not know. Sorry if that sounds unreasonable to you.

I am not surprised. People don't like to see/hear things that contradict their views of life. So are you certain that the priest molested the boy? Do you think the dingo ate the baby? I just don't have an answer.

It's true though that in my world, we usually prefer not to call someone stupid unless they are real pricks, but I see you have a different culture in your world.
