Hello GZstuff,
I finally got my own apartment but that the bed is completely fucked. I've gotten used to the hard beds of China, just not the lumpy (and oh so squeaky) ones. Does anyone know where I can pick up a CHEAP hard mattress (nothing along the lines of Ikea fancy, just regular chinese mattress) or a decent mattress pad that is under 500 yuan for a queen.
Also, most things in China have a whole street dedicated to selling that particular item - so I was wondering is there something like a bedding street in Guangzhou? An area that sells sheets and comforters and what not for cheap?
I'm located in Liwan so anywhere near there would be ultra-excellent.
Thank you muchly!

Sorry got no advise where to buy, but in general there are small shops sellings mattresses in any neighborhood - no need to go to a wholesale market.
Have you also tried buying one of those bamboo mats, the ones with those bamboo tiles woven into a mat? Those do wonders for simulating a hard mattresses and keep the coy cool in the summer.
